Two images that will never be forgotten: Pope Francis delivering his "Urbi et Urbo" (to the city and to the world) blessing in the rain in the empty square of St. Peter's.
It was powerful, eloquent, magnificent.
Here is a one minute video from Vatican News that captures its essence:

And if you'd like to see the one-hour version, you'll enjoy the narration and translation of Pope Francis' homily by a woman with a clear, lilting voice:

For those who haven't yet "attended Mass" on this rainy Sunday, you'll find "Mass on the 5th Sunday of Lent" at Holy Cross here: https://youtu.be/idV5PdQcneA
You'll enjoy, as described by one participant, Deacon Joe's "real and thoughtful" homily. (A bit more on his homily in the next post.)
I watched the replay of the Urbi et Orbi address . . . it really was powerful and beautiful. It really pointed out to me one of the gifts of a worldwide church leader, especially one who is so pastoral, humble, and wise.
And Deacon Joe's homily was right on point! Missing the physical communion with the Holy Cross community . . . and grateful for ways to share it here.
I did watch the Urbi et Urbo ceremony. It was moving and memorable. We pray everyday for an end to the crisis.
