Holy Week Window Art

Our parishioners are getting creative! The Bibbey Family - Jerry, Estrella and Anderson - created a beautiful stained glass window in their home on a rainy Palm Sunday. Estrella writes: "We live up in the redwoods and yesterday our little family was feeling a bit isolated. Then suddenly, after seeing an example on social media, we jumped up, grabbed some black electrical tape (because that's what we had), kids' craft paint and set to work on creating a stained glass window for Holy Week! We chose our back sliding door because it can be seen from the street. I hope others will be inspired to bring a bit of church home to their house, too. It really was such an easy project, especially compared to the immense amount of joy it has brought to us. It is just beautiful to sit and look at our new “stained glass“ window, especially since it is flanked by views of the redwood mountains. It makes our home feel like a little chapel in the redwoods."

Thank you, Estrella, Jerry and Anderson, for sharing your joy with us. Again, we would love to see more of the works of art being created in our domestic churches during this time of retreat from the world. Send photos and descriptions to bannerdays16@gmail.com. (And send us stories too.). If you enjoyed this post, click on the little heart in the lower right corner. And don't hesitate to commentate below. (You may have to log in with a password. Sorry about that.) Finally, did you notice the Bibbey Family cat admiring the stained glass window in the last photo? Obviously, an art lover.
